Reaper’s Claim – Review

Reaper's Claim by Simone Elise

Title: Reaper’s Claim

Author: Simone Elise
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release date: February 11, 2017

In my motorcycle club I’ve earned the name ‘Reaper’ and now I have my claim on Abby Harrison.

Reaper:

I didn’t know what love was, but I knew what want was, and I wanted Abby. When I walked out of the club and saw her I was stone cold sober. She was quietly beautiful and unlike any other woman I’d had before. But she was the daughter of the president of Satan’s Sons MC and completely out of my reach.

Abby:

Everyone knew The Reaper and how he got his name, so I never expected him to be my salvation when my sisters drunk boyfriend wanted to lay hands on me.  I thought my innocence would be lost in that alley, until he showed up and saved me. I know being with Reaper will lead to trouble, but I don’t know if I have the strength to stay away.

Being together might be dangerous, but outlaws are meant to break the rules.

Reaper’s Claim by Simone Elise is a thrilling story about the Satan Son’s motorcycle club.  This story is full of the usual drama that follows a rowdy group of alpha males, but it is also a constant cycle of arguments, drama, and then followed by reconciliation (repeat), (repeat), (you get the drift).  The twists and turns are plentiful causing me to have a hard time putting my Kindle down.  The story line is exciting and well-paced and the characters are well developed. As I read, I became attached to Abby and Kade, but I did wish the sex scenes were more explicit.

Abby and her twin sister Kim were raised by their single father, Roach, who was the President of the Mother Chapter of the Satan Son’s motorcycle club. They grew up living at the clubhouse among the violence and drama of the motorcycle club.  Abby and Kade (AKA Reaper) formed a deep bond when she was only sixteen years old, but Reaper was soon sent to another chapter for roughly 2 years.  As time passed, Reaper and Abby still had a connection that even her father, president of the Satan Son’s, couldn’t break apart.  Would their love for each other survive all the drama, chaos, fighting, and threats?

Besides wishing the book contained more explicit sex scenes, there is a scene in the book where most of society tends to frown upon (drinking & smoking while pregnant).   Even though I have read lots of darker books, I was bothered by this particular scene.  It could be the fact I am a mother of two, but I did want to put it out there.

My name is Simone, most know me as Explode.

My passions are writing, tattoos and my family. Writing to me, is an outlet. I write every day, regardless of my mood or commitments.

I can’t say I get inspiration for my books. They come to me out of nowhere and then I plot it out and before I know it I’m ten chapters deep.

Writing in an art and I think everyone has a story in them but only certain people are able to tell them.

Come say hi 🙂
