The Leftover was the perfect palette cleanser for me! I had just read a gory book I didn’t care for and this sweet, action packed romance was just the ticket for me.
I really liked The Leftover. I am a big fan of Survivor and seeing this local version played out was a lot of fun. I could identify with Megan and fell in love with Cane right along side with her.
As a Behind Closed Doors book, it really had nothing but a little bit of kissing and hand-holding, and that was ok. The story is different and fun, what the story lacks in spice is made up with sweetness and sweat (during challenges for the contestants) by Megan and Cane. I am giving it 5 stars because the book was so much fun to read and I loved all the characters. A perfect beach read this final weekend of summer!
