Ever After Romance

“John Doe” was just another patient. A criminal.

As a prison nurse, I knew the rules: do my job, don’t get involved, and never let a prisoner get under my skin.

I broke all three.

My passion, my obsession, my addiction. I risked my entire life so we could be together.

I thought helping him escape from prison would be the hard part.

It turns out when you fall in love with a villain, you also turn into one.

Romances do not always follow the typical path to ‘Happily Ever After’. I enjoy reading all types of love stories, but it’s the ones that have the bumpy windy path that are always my favorites. Toxic is so far off the beaten path that I needed a seat beat and was holding the handle for dear life. There were many difficult scenes, so beware this is not a light and fluffy romance.

In this story, Tess has been through so much that she is just a shell of a woman. She just follows her routine to get through her days. Things begin to change when she meets a new inmate, Gracin, in the prison infirmary, where she works.

I was not sure how I felt about Gracin in the beginning. He was a bit of a mystery and I couldn’t decide if I could trust him? I mean… he is in prison!

I was completely hooked trying to figure out all the puzzle pieces and I have to tell you… I just loved the ending! There are several twists and turns in the story that shed some light on my questions and I completely fell for Tess and Gracin!

A definite add to your TBR list!
